Text messaging
How Mobilize uses SMS.
Mobilize is a wildfire-mobilization tool operated by StationWorks LLC. During an active mobilization it sends operational text messages to enrolled fire-service personnel. Mobilize is invite-only — there is no public sign-up, and phone numbers are never purchased, rented, sold, or shared.
What we send, and to whom
Recipients are pre-registered fire-service coordinators — the county- and department-level personnel who organize their jurisdiction's apparatus and crews. A regional administrator adds them to Mobilize as part of their official duties. The messages are operational, not marketing:
- Ready / Set / Go mobilization pages for an active or building incident.
- Availability requests you answer YES or NO within a short window.
- Status updates and stand-downs.
- Incident assignment and staging details.
How you opt in
Every recipient opts in during in-app onboarding:
- You sign in (organizational SSO or an emailed magic link) and accept the Terms of Service andPrivacy Policy.
- On the phone-setup screen you enter your own mobile number and check an opt-in box — unchecked by default, and the form will not submit without it — that reads: "I agree to receive operational text messages from Mobilize (mobilization requests, Ready/Set/Go pages, status updates) at this number."
- Mobilize sends a one-time verification code by SMS; you enter it to confirm the number is yours. No operational messages are sent until verification succeeds.
Frequency, rates, and opting out
- Message frequency varies with mobilization activity.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP at any time to opt out — effective immediately. Reply START to resume.
- Reply HELP for help, contact your coordinator, or email support@stationworks.io.
- Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except our SMS delivery provider, which processes them solely to deliver the messages you opted in to receive.
